EMBODIED PLANETARY PEDAGOGY

A philosophy of learning that invites people to experience, question, and integrate knowledge through lived experience, transdisciplinary inquiry, and meaningful relationships with people, place, and the more-than-human world.

Melissa partners with schools and organizations to design transformative educational experiences grounded in embodied planetary pedagogy. Whether developing curricula, reimagining programs, or guiding institutional change, her work cultivates learners who can perceive patterns, navigate complexity, and engage responsibly within interconnected social and ecological systems.

EMBODIED TEACHING PRACTICE

Melissa helps educators move beyond content delivery toward learning experiences that invite students to observe, question, create, collaborate, and think across disciplines. Through individualized coaching and curriculum development, teachers develop practices that cultivate curiosity, systems thinking, and meaningful engagement with the world.

For educators interested in a deeper exploration of these ideas, the Lo—TEK Institute offers courses grounded in embodied planetary pedagogy.

LIVING CURRICULA PROFESSIONAL LEARNING

Drawing on more than 25 years as an educator and educational leader across public, independent, and international schools, Melissa partners with schools and organizations to design learning experiences that reflect their unique goals and aspirations.
